Dream Holiday... who doesn't yearn for one? We, as human beings, naturally seek enjoyment and take pleasure in the things we can afford and access. We label this pursuit as life fulfillment, satisfaction, or achievement, among other terms.
For many of us, a dream holiday entails escaping our current habitat. Yes, our habitat! Let's not deny our classification as animals, specifically mammals, characterized by being warm-blooded creatures with a backbone and hair.
So, considering our habitat—our geographical location and country on this planet—if you reside in the typically cold northern hemisphere, it's only natural that your dream destination would be somewhere significantly warmer. Such a place would undoubtedly differ from your usual surroundings in terms of culture and cuisine. You yearn for an experience that deviates pleasantly from your routine and location in life. Conversely, if you were born and raised closer to the equator, the default location, you might wonder about those residing in the southern hemisphere. Fun fact: the southern hemisphere comprises more than 80% ocean, and while it may not be as warm as equatorial countries, it certainly isn't as cold as the northern hemisphere. I speculate that the southern hemisphere likely harbors fewer human inhabitants compared to other regions. Feel free to correct me by leaving your comments below or through your subscription.
Without a doubt, many dream holiday destinations captivate us with their scenic beauty, rich cultures, and snowy landscapes. Thoughts of snow often bring to mind Santa Claus, Christmas celebrations, gatherings, parties, gift exchanges, and reuniting with family and friends, providing a reprieve from work (let's be honest, who feels productive during the festive season?). Personally, I find myself in a hibernation mode throughout December, where official matters and work tend to drain my enthusiasm and incite procrastination. By the way, did you know that December is actually the warmest month in the Oceania continent, where Australia and New Zealand are located? So, if you're seeking a warm yet non-humid destination in December, those two places are worth considering.
In my dream holiday, I envision a place where over 90% of the population wishes everyone, even strangers passing by, a heartfelt "Merry Christmas" and a "Happy New Year" during December. Imagine the warmth of such greetings! Everywhere you go, Christmas songs serenade you, and you partake in heartfelt gatherings with family in a chateau adorned with a cozy, crackling fireplace. Indulging in gourmet Michelin star cuisine and a royal feast, reminiscent of scenes from Harry Potter movies, adds to the enchantment.
