Welcome to episode 2 of the Our Life Giant Blog and Podcast! This episode follows the immediate release of the first episode, "The Giant Sneaking Into Your Life," and I'm excited to share my experiences at a school camp, including some spine-chilling encounters with ghosts.
During my high school days, we had a three-day, two-night combined uniform group camping event right in our school premises. As we gathered with our backpacks, eagerly anticipating adventures and fun activities, little did we know that we would be sharing spooky stories as well.
On the first day, we settled into our assigned classroom, excitedly chatting and getting to know our teammates. It was during this time that we heard the shocking news of our school caregiver and gatekeeper's recent passing. Rumors circulated that his spirit continued his routine of patrolling the school on his bicycle even after his passing. The eerie atmosphere gave us goosebumps, and we took extra precautions during our stay to avoid any encounters with his spirit.
Our days were filled with engaging activities organized by our seniors, helping us momentarily forget about the ghostly tales shared in our "bedroom" classroom. But as nighttime approached, we gathered for story time, only to be spooked with yet another ghostly tale, this time about a granny sitting on a ceiling fan in one of the classrooms. It was hard to shake off the eerie feeling and get a good night's sleep.
Can you believe that on the first day of our school camp, we were already exposed to the possibility of three ghostly encounters? It felt outrageous and far from what we had anticipated. The second night brought a campfire, a rare treat for most of us. However, the ghostly stories didn't end there. Someone pointed out a dark figure with long hair looking down from a window on the third level. It sent shivers down our spines as everyone turned their attention to the window, whispering about what they saw.
These encounters remained unexplained throughout my time at the school, leaving us with lingering mysteries and unanswered questions.
